Utah | Zions National Park Elopement

We started our session a few hours before sunset. Normally, people take the "Scenic Route" through Zions National Park (most people get there by bus), but we wanted to go a bit off the beaten path. As photographers, but also elopement guides, we went earlier that day to scope the area out and find somewhere that was so beautiful that it should be a popular hike, but isn't. Somewhere that truly captured the essence of Southern Utah without the tourist aspect. After all, when you elope it's to make the day about YOU and your fiance, not the 20 members of the Smith Family Reunion hiking the same hike as you.

We got to the top of this GORGEOUS rock/mountain/cliff/canyon-overlook where Lex and Emily read their vows for each other. Honestly, there is just something special about Elopements that I love SO much. Your day really is just about the two of you and your love, rather than the perfect cake, perfect table arrangements, perfect flowers, etc. Being with just the two of you IS perfect.

Now for my favorite part! 😍 To personalize their photos and make it truly about them and what they love, Lex and Emily brought their adorable Volkswagon Van. Seriously, I fell in love. The sun had gone down and the light was all dunky by the time we got back to the car, but luckily the glow of the headlights just made it dreamier! We could not have asked for a more perfect day.
